Maria and Carl took their home and property situated in a Wildlife Preserve and transformed it into a place for you to enjoy as well. Since relocating from Southern California in 2014, they have transformed their home into a ‘lodge’ of sorts while enjoying company from all over the world. In they have welcomed folks from the UK, California, Washington, Colorado, SouthCarolina, and Texas. Maria and Carl feel the beauty of the area is too wonderful not to share and would like you to experience a few days with them to relax, watch the Elk and other wildlife, or sit in front of the fire during winter months.

Her Italian parents taught her how to entertain early on. From big family gatherings to weekly dinner feasts - there were always people visiting, eating, drinking, and having a good time. The Italians will have it no other way. Maria spent her entire life hosting parties; getting the neighborhood together, celebrating holidays, and life. Maria is from Southern California and the weather was very welcoming for summer bashes and out door picnic’s.
A cowboy at heart, Carl grew up in Northern California being involved in all things western early on. Carl started preparing meals at age 4. Of course as soon as he could, he was working in a restaurant and became a Chef by age 22. Carl had a way with food and as years passed became an expert in cooking over an open fire as well as almost every other cuisine. Carl’s heart has always been taking outdoor and open fire cooking up a notch by coupling it with his expertise in a refined kitchen. The results are mouthwatering.
To Maria’s friends Carl became “Cowboy Carl”. His love of kids, dogs, and cooking melted her heart and the rest was history. Maria’s ability to put together a warm, welcoming event and Carl’s expertise in the kitchen or the open fire (or both), drove them to find the perfect spot and the perfect lifestyle in the wilderness.
